daleyboy
you can find all the details of how and where here: http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/licence.html I'm not 100% sure but i think you need to either do a half day course or buy a DVD before you can take the test for a boat licence. I still think it waaay too easy!
vipernut
You can do it(the course)on your computer, you just have to pay $10(i think it is) and download it or you can reuest the dvd version to be sent out to you. I did mine on the computer and at the end of it you print out a certificate to say you have viewed the course. Then you take this with you when you go for the licensce test. Stephen P.s. Do the pratice test a few times on there website to,The questions in the test are exactly the same word for word.
tan the fisherman
Gday, Check out NSW Boating College When you book they send you a booklet with all necessary details - or just ring up Waterways and they will send you one. I did the course at Castle Hill RSL a yr ago. I recommend the practice tests also. Read up on everything - its not that hard to grasp the basics. The hardest part is getting enough time on the water to see and do everything that you learn. Good luck mate
