Yarraone
Hi all , I have a 15 ft Hamilton Jet. Fiberglass hull it is white with yellow trim. (as per photo) I have only had this boat for about 3 months and it has been a beauty..it has marks that look like greasy finger marks and smudges.. Some of them have come off with a scrub with warm soapie water but alot are still there on the hull as well as the leather upholstery, which is white and yellow also.. On the bottom of the hull it is just dirt from the water I think? scrubing does not get this off? Any ideas? or should I just buff it and re paint? Is there a cleaner I can get to clean this up? Or do i need to just persist? Or maybe polish?

arkedup
Hi mate reecently cleaned my hull using sudbury hull cleaner & stain remover made by rule got it from bias boats and i was very happy with the results with a bit of a scub it removed all stains from below the waterline changed the colour back to white from a rusty brown it has acid in it so a light scrub after giving it a few minutes to penatrate the stain was all it needed WEAR GLOVES OR IT WILL BURN YOU Hi all , I have a 15 ft Hamilton Jet. pjbink
If nothing elsle works use 1200 grade wet and dry sandpaper. Use it wet and give the boat a polish afterwards.
arkedup
hi mate some hull cleaners have oxilatic acid or phosphiric acid which can turn the galv on trailer black or white the one i mentioned has a small amount of hydrochoric acid in it i kept the trailer wet while using the cleaner and tried not to spray directly onto the trailer i had no problems with galv on the trailer i think by keeping the trailer wet it helps to nuralize the acid I used something like that a while back it woks great but it has some sort of acid base and can affect galvanization on the trailer if it is the same stuff
