Roberto
Hi all. http://www.wishlist.com.au/Product/Product...arietyID=111579 Iam just wondering if anyone has above combo, and is it suitable for general purpose fishing (please see link). The sort of fishing iam looking to do is around wharfs and maybe on boats from time to time and the occasional weekend trip with mates. Your expert and honest advise advice is appreciated.. Ta Bongo. Davy
hey bongo, you might want to have a look at a few other combos, as u can get better ones fr that price. visit one of the sites sponsors stores either fishfinder or go fish, an they can help u pick out a great combo for your needs and budget Go Fish Fishfinder Edited February 19, 2008 by Davy
Sammy0884
Hey Mate, where are you located, Best idea would be to go and see one of the fishraider sponsors, i think you could get a better deal than the one on the website there. You will also get to see the goods in person and get some professional advice.

Davy
Definitley, you cant beat the 10 yr guarantee on all the shimano reels. If its being given to u as a pressie, theres no reason you should refuse then! espesh if its fishing gear Cheers
yakfishing
Gday Rob, looks pretty good, but like I was saying the other day I prefer a lighter outfit for bream and flatties, youll appreciate the fight a whole lot better and a sensitive tip (the nibble tip) is better for the bream. The less they feel when they have a go at your bait the better hence as lighter sinker weight as possible too. They can be very finicky and the bigger they are the more finicky they are! Id strongly suggest looking at some lighter gear with no more than 6Ibs line Ill show you my setup when we go for a fish. That outfit would probably be ideal for chasing kingies and the like off a boat although that is not my area of expertise, and yeah shimano make quality gear. Oh yeah and Ive got that dvd its good, itll tell you all about those soft plastic lures I was showing you, including how to put em on the jighead and how to work them. Its easy once you get the hang of it, and youll catch plenty of tasty flathead! But youll definitely need a light whippy rod for using them, a big hefty rod wont work too well, Ill explain why when I see ya. Talk to ya soon mate. Roberto
Thanks for the response Tristan..I might get an extra rod like a light one we were looking at in ***** with a nibble tip and keep that Beastmaster set.... That way I will have 2 rods and Just use one reel.. What do you think??
