mrmoshe
The predicted 3 metre swell might make it a tad lumpy though. Cheers, Pete.
huntman
botany bay will be a bit choppy because it is shallow, and depending on the direction the swell is coming from there could be a bit washing through the heads into the bay. If you have a decent boat you should be able to get out? The rivers will probably be better.

Appreciate any help learning to read the weather. AchJimmy its always good to study the section showing wave direction in conjunction with the graph you are looking at with particular interest is the interval's between the waves and with it showing around that 9-10 second period then that is leaning towards being favourably....that of course is relating to outside.... Cheers Warnie....

Appreciate any help learning to read the weather. Hi Jim If you search the seabrease page, on the left hand side you will find the help box. In this box click on arrow colours and this page will allow you to reverse the colour code so green is good and red is bad. Steve

Davemmm
Hi all Am i reading this as being favorable for Sunday? Is it a predicted 10kt Sth/sth westerly and is this good or bad for Botany Bay? Appreciate any help learning to read the weather. Achjimmy the graph shows a southerly over twenty knots. If this is still the case on friday dont go near the bay. You are from the blue mountains so you have to drive past plenty of spots that fish alright in the wind. Go further up the georges ie from Como west, and you will get to fish quite comfortably in a southerly and there are fish up there. Dave Ps crap ramp EDIT Just re-read your post and realised sunday not saturday. The forecast is under 15kts, this is not too bad although I would call it towards the "upper limits". Ignore the seas bit unless you intend to fish around the heads area. Edited February 28, 2008 by davemmm
