Condolences

Not that I know the unfortunate boat crew from today who had the tragic accident but I was listening to the coastguard giving warnings about the crashed boat all day and I felt so much for the friends and family of the racers that I had to say something.

The only thing that fits in the circumstances I guess... we were thinking of you today and you have our sympathy.

Slinkey we were out there today and I can say that I am not at all surprised!!

There are some real morons on the water. Driving way too fast and way too close to other boats. Small boats, big boats and yachts all included.

Sad for the person and his family but hope the speeding idiots learn from it.

Cheers

Back up mate :(

There is absolutely no evidence this guy was speeding yet.

Nor is there any evidence he was an "idiot" in fact looking at his boat I would assume that he had spent a lot of time on the water and loved his sport.

I have been in a race boat that flipped at under 20knts because a sponson dug in, turning back to put her on the trailer mid turn and we copped ferry wash..... Accidents happen!

Condolences to grieving family and freinds :(

Robbie.

The deceased boater has been identified as Peter Eagle, the father & coach of Aussie water-skiing champ Lauryn Eagle.

Fishraider Admin wish to extend our sincerest condolences to the Eagle family.
