slinkymalinky Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 Not that I know the unfortunate boat crew from today who had the tragic accident but I was listening to the coastguard giving warnings about the crashed boat all day and I felt so much for the friends and family of the racers that I had to say something. Driving way too fast and way too close to other boats. Small boats, big boats and yachts all included. Sad for the person and his family but hope the speeding idiots learn from it. Nor is there any evidence he was an "idiot" in fact looking at his boat I would assume that he had spent a lot of time on the water and loved his sport. I have been in a race boat that flipped at under 20knts because a sponson dug in, turning back to put her on the trailer mid turn and we copped ferry wash..... Accidents happen!
