Mrwooley
G'day guys, I've just purchased and fitted a new 1050 Scotty to the boat with the intention of useing it for trout fishing. Never having used one before, I need some advice.... Is the standard release clip, supplied with the Scotty, suitable for trout fishing or do I need a lighter release one? The supplied one seems to be quite strong even at the finest grip. I thought it would be OK for Jews or Kings, but maybe too much for trout. Have I got it all wrong? Regards, Barry. arpie
Hi Barry I have the AFN Downrigging book for Aussie Natives for sale in the For Sale Section. It should help you with all your queries, and it would also give you other ideas for using your downrigger effectively! This would also translate into salt water use as well. http://fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.ph...t=0#entry222039 Cheers Roberta
