autocad
hi..just a quick question planning a beach fish tomorrow.....but the tides arn't ideal. low at 8am and high at 2pm. would it be better to fish the morning or the high during the day. I'm after usual beach fish salmon, tailor, bream whiting. thanks
jewgaffer
Hi autocad. You always get more fishable hours in an afternoon session and a 2pm high is a good one to fish for six productive run out hours for predators and you should do ok fishing thru to the evening tide change about 8.30pm. Otherwise you only get a couple of hours of good fishing after an early wake up call and a daybreak start. Cheers jewgaffer

Mondo Rock
Also depends on your target species is: Whiting: high tide at any time of the day. can bite really well in bright and hot weather as long as there's a bit of wash. Bream: high tide in the early morning, evening or at night Salmon/Tailor: high tide in the early morning, evening or at night Flathead: Runout tide in the early morning, evening or at night. But there are always fish off the beach. If you don't have a line in the water then you won't catch 'em.
Tony Soprano
But there are always fish off the beach. Unless you're fishing for jewies. I swear something is wrong in my brain to spend the hours I do standing on a beach staring at the tip of my rod. Cheers Tony
