Idol threats
Hi All As reported a couple of weeks ago , the sheep killers have been caught!!!! You may have remembered the story of the headless sheep bodies in the river , see the attachment on the capture of these low lifes. Regards Matt Have a great Easter one and All. Forgot the article , so here it is Headless sheep found in river by Rebecca Lang FISHERMEN made a gruesome discovery at Yarramundi Reserve on March 4 when the carcasses of seven sheep without heads or limbs bobbed up at the popular recreation spot. Earlier that day, three men were spotted allegedly dumping the dead animals in the river next to the old bridge before jumping in with a fleece and dousing themselves in water. The waterway serves as drinking water for people living in North Richmond. Penrith Council was alerted to the incident and an investigation resulted in a Penrith man being fined $750.A Council spokesman said the man may also be liable for the clean-up costs involved in removing the dead animals. He said Council had also reported the incident to the RSPCA. McDonald’s Excavations was called in to remove the headless carcasses and body parts from the waterway. The incident is believed to be the second in the district – another as yet unconfirmed report occurred at Devlins Lane off Castlereagh Road. Winmalee angler Mark Hodson, who witnessed the dumping, was appalled by the act. “It’s not nice. I like to take my kids down there li-loing down the rapids,” he told The Gazette. “We’ll think twice about it now.
pelican
I just don't get it- mutton and wool burley? Only a $750 fine!!!!????? Can't work out if they were skinning them or getting a leg of mutton and hasn't the owner of the sheep stuck a bill into this bloke?. There is probably some other sad circumstances but .................... Headline should have been man fined $1000,000 for endangering water supply with further charges pending regarding mutilation or cruelty and then it might act as a discouragement. I really wonder about our legal system some days Pel BBQ at the council depot!!
