slinkymalinky
G'day Caine, Get the smallest size in the shop and try to find the ones where the lures are like little pink grubs instead of 'wings'. I started using them this year and haven't missed once.... no more tiny bits of bait to muck around with ether. Cheers, Slinky
cflife
Grab the herring jigs from any major shopping outlet $2.99 , youll be pulling in 3 at a time. 2 easy though the jigs dont last to long. stylo
The only problem with bait jigs is that they tend to get knotted up in your tackle box and u end up throwing the things away ... some fishos cut them in half (3 hooks) and that works for them. For yakkas, I use small long shank hooks sz8/10 and do a dropper loop about 15 cm from the bottom hook and have another hook there - too close to the bottom hook and the one yakka will try to eat both baits, which has happened to me before. Not that time consuming if you are proficient with yer knots. SMALL bit of prawn on the hook will do the trick. Only advantage I see with the jigs is that you 'may not' need to put any bait on the hooks, but most people I have seen do anyway !
