Josh88 Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) Well, another crappy day fishing wise, seeing the wind had dropped we decided to go out and try and get some kings for the first time in ages. I'm beginning to think there is something painted on the bottom of our boat seeing in the last 2 trips we have tried at least 8 spots each time for not even a follow from a squid. We managed to find a patch of small yakkas but being unprepared for them, they were finding it very hard to get the tiny pieces of fish market squid off the size 6 long shank, the frustration of being unable to get any fresh bait is nearly unbearable! Anyway we tried some spots around the main harbour and middle harbour for zilch, not even a hit from a king. Only got small snapper on the light rods, which added to a very disappointing day.
