Yakking Thresher Style

Just watched this DVD... you yak guys are NUTS!! What an amazing look at some extreme fishing. A 15yo catching a 60kg shark out of a kayak... a guy getting the front treble of a CD14 embedded in his chin then cutting the hook off leaving the barb in so he could keep fishing... gear being lost forever to the depths.

It's a long way from the world's best fishing DVD production ( although I do so miss the days when Australian sports productions featured girls in g-strings for absolutely no reason!) but those yanks have sure got their share of truly hard-core fishing nuts (if you ever want to see just how hard-core watch a dvd called Deep Colour about a long range Tuna fishing charter).

If any of you other Raiders (who like me, don't yak fish) want to see just what a big deal the recent yak marlin really is... get a copy of this yak fishing dvd and watch it.

Roberta... you and your friends as well as my incredulity, have my deepest respect. What a way to catch fish!

I saw that one last year - incredible, eh?? That poor bastard that copped the lure in his chin (and worse still, his expensive rod over the side) all due to the other yakker's total incompetence in retrieving a lure!!! He's got balls!!! Big ones!!

I can only imagine that those thresher sharks are a bit like grey nurse - teeth in the opposite direction - very similar tails!!

Exciting stuff out on the big blue - only I choose to stay in quieter waters these days!! Huwie!!!
