Clifton. Balmoral. Rose Bay. Wally's wharf. La Perouse. All average spots, have a look at these places and you'll get some idea of what to look for in a squidding spot. Seriously though, there are some REALLY good squidding spots that are popular, but people are generally loathe to spread them on the net any more as it seems like swarms of enviro terrorists pillage the spots as soon as they are posted.

Look for wharfs and jetties that are well lit at night, with kelp or seagrass close in. Then cast and cast and cast and cast... and cast!

When you see how much effort goes into doing well land based you'll understand why people don't want to give up their prime positions.
