Greeting raiders

Did the true Aussie thing on Tuesday and lodged a protest day with the principal of having to work for a living, teamed up with the skipper for a session on the Hawkesbury. Arrived 6am at Brooklyn ramp to find it totally overrun by a movie team. Managed to launch the Quinnie and escape the madness and headed up to West Head for some livies.

What a morning couldn't have ordered a better day weather wise - no breeze flat seas - grabbed a few livies and a fresh octopus and head back towards Patonga. The skipper was quick into the water with a selection of baits while I persisted with SP's. In no time at all I was bringing the first flaty to the boat, 41 cm and it only got better. End result kept six good fish for a feed ( all on Sp’s ) and released quite a few more. Only downside to the day was some DH pulled his boat up the ramp and parked across the front of me so I could pull mine out. Then threaten me when I politely asked him if he could move it.

Hey Gary

You don’t have to apologise to me there are some things in life that are simple and putting your boat in and out of the water should be one of them.

How people can be so inconsiderate to others is beyond my comprehension.

The ramp at Brooklyn is a 4 car ramp one guy managed to turn it into a 2 car ramp by pulling his boat out sideways – I just wished I’d had a video camera with me - it was a certain winner for one of those TV blooper shows.

As for the guy that threatened me I positive he's not reading this site because I doubt if he could read
