johnd
Going to drive my wife to Gosford one day next week for a one day office talkfest during which I will have nothing to do for most of the day until I pick her up in the arvo. I will have a couple of rods in the boot so what better way to pass the day than to wet a line. Any clues as to a reasonable place to rest my backside while waiting for the fish to bite? I don't mind if it is flathead, bream or blackfish. (I will downplay my chances of catching a fish, so my wife doesn't expect it for dinner) cheers...John
centralcoastfisho
If you are keen to drive for another 25-30 minutes, I would recommend The Entrance North, I picked up 3 nice sized Bream yesterday. They went well on the table too!
donjuarez
Point frederic looks like a likely spot... Or a short drive to booker bay could see you in a tinny for 4 hours... then you've got all of Brisbane Waters to call home.. I've heard that the channel around pretty beach and hardy's bay can produce the goods, as it's the only way in/out of brisbane waters for the fish... jewgaffer
Hi johndevine. There has been too much small stuff lately in middle of the day times especially around Tascott and the Gosford area. You could do alright in the Hawkesbury instead for bream and flathead, parking the car at the side of the road on the Gosford side of the Hawkesbury Bridge which is only about twenty minutes back from Gosford. You'll find parking everywhere and you'll be able to fish right next to your car near the mouth of Mooney Mooney creek. It is a very nice spot to pull over and fish landbased and has been fishing quite well recently. You can grab some nice hamburgers at a small eat in or take away place just back up a bit on the old Pacific Highway. Cheers jewgaffer
