Roffo
Hi Raider's, Has anybody got a 7 foot T Curve 1-4 kg flight series with the titanium guides that they use with SP's (just want to know if they are worth the $400 price tag)?? I want to know if the rod would suit SP's on trout as the rod I use for bream & flatties seems to be a tad to stiff for casting really light lures I'm lacking a bit of distance. Any help would be great. Cheers Roffo

I honestly can't remember the brands. The one he showed me a while back was the best blank I'd ever picked up. You'de have to ask him what he has atm. Well worth the effort though. Cheers, Grant. gretsch
Roffo You probably won't get a decent custom for under $500. The TCurve is good.. worth the money. The REC's alone would cost 100 bucks to buy. A decent blank is $200-300 (unless you buy it from the US), handle components will cost $60-70 (more for Matagi gear) which leaves SFA for thread, finish and labour. Tony has blanks specially rolled for him. He has some incredible sticks. Ask him to show you his Kayak model which is designed to bend around the hull of the yak..pretty amazing blank. Like anything, it depends on the components. Anything Titanium (REC's of Fuji YTSG's) will add significant cost but, lightness and corrosion proof features. Good luck son! Let us know what you decide.
