The Poacher
Forecast was sensational so I decided to have a crack at the beach. Picked a spot that was two channels flowing opposite directions then out to sea. The swell was bigger than the forecast and this made for a lot of water movement with the tide dropping. Got 1 tailor and 1 flathead for 2 hours invested. Was a bit disappointed with my peformance as the spot I picked was too rough to produce tonight. I should have got back in my car and gone further up the beach where it was more protected from the swell. I'll lock that one away for next time. My local beach seems to produce best in relatively mild water conditions, even if it looks too flat, thats better than too big. Poacher

Was a fantastic day for it, unfortunately I was only out walking the dog. Every time I try my local beach (Copacabana) I get busted off by weed or get hooked up to one of the rays. I am hoping to get out off the rocks at Avoca tomorrow or Terrigal soon with the boat, if the weather stays decent. Tight lines
