Captain Cook Bridge

just a quick report.fished captain cook bridge tonite caught only

1bream about 30cms.id like to thank jewgaffer for his advise as it

almost worked for me in catching a jewie.i fished the rocks between the bridge and old boat ramp as the other side was being fished by a few locals.was using fresh squid and squid heads.just a hour

befor high tide my rod with the squid head buckles over and line starts screaming.

i let it run for a good 20 odd metres then when i went to strike it it spat the bait.

it felt like a good size but shit happens.had about another 3 big hits but

wasnt able to hook up.all in all it was good to get some decent hits.but did get alot of snags

next time might have to get there earlier to get a spot on the otherside where the

locals were.thanks again jewgaffer ur advise was spot on.will be out again

soon to catch my first captain cook jewie

Hi Jay,

What bait were the locals using & did you fish up to the top & then down to the bottom of the tide?
