was maybe thinking of putting the timber boat in Oatley Bay

Forget the Bay Robee. Its time to broaden your horizons go out and find a couple of spots sheltered from the westerly.

Up around Lugarno on the eastern side of any of the points or better still the run in drift along the Menai side of the Wonny. Fish along the rock walls or up in those little bays near Bonnet Bay.

Most of those spots won't be troubled by the wind.

Dead ordinary to say the least. Took a mate out with stories of monster Hacking bream and came back with two that certainly werent monsters and not much else.

The hacking is hard work.

It a very small water way with enormous amounts of boat traffic,

add clear water and it can account for many fishless trips.

Guys i know dont even bother anymore.

Doesn't compare to botany and the harbour.
