robeebee
late start today as Dad had a late night , still on the water before 8 am took Davemmm's advice and put the boat in at Oatley bay to fish the Georges quiet start as we stayed in the Bay to keep out of the wind we each rig up turtle back worms in pumkingreen on small #2 hook jigheads Dad lands the first fish of the day and it's a small flounder , released for next time my turn and land a small whiting , released also we decide to brave the wind and head out of the bay past Connells bay we set up a nice drift past the point before Kyle Bay first cast i land a nice 28 cm bream , but put him back , i don't keep much under 29 or 30 a few minutes later and i get a better hit, pulling a bit of line and net a good 32cm model in the keeper net it goes a few more casts and i'm on again (this is fun ) and boat a similar specimen Dads turn next and has fun on his new 4 pound outfit with a good bream also we each get quite a few more bream on this drift so we go back for more nearing the point again Dad gets a good hit , but bugger it his line has gotten tangled in the electric motor he thought he had a big fish , line screaming off , should have seen his face after untangling the line from the electric he re rigs must have been an omen 'cause this time his reel is singing for real couple of tense moments before i get a great lizard in the net for Dad wind is picking up so we call it quits end up with a good feed plus a little more knowledge on the Georges Edited April 28, 2008 by robeebee

tumra
good work there mate... i was floating around kyle bay on saturday and sunday. Didnt see much action, though i was using nippers and pilchards instead of soft plastics. I guess that is the secret to bag a couple of fish.
