pelican
Salting question from me as well. I know nothing about salting bait or using it so please be nice- did quick search but need it spelled out for me. Do you leave them in salt till dry and hard or just till cured and still soft? Do you leave a lid on salting bucket or open? Does it become a brine or stay as salt crystals? Pool salt OK? When you go to use for bail do you soak bait at all before putting it on the hook? What species are good to do it with? What aren't? At what stage do you fillet rather than salt whole fish? Thanks to anyone who answers these probably rudimentary questions for me. If someone know a lot about it is it worth putting it a s a "workshop article" so people like me don't keep asking. Thanks Edited May 3, 2008 by pelican

mrsswordfisherman
Brilliant - thanks Tony and Gary. I think I get it now!!! Guess who just discovered another section in Fishraider???!!! Doesn't come up when you search though There is a dedicated button up on top right of the forum page called ARTICLES Take the easy way there and click away If anyone would like to submit an article please contact us. I am sure as pelican suggests there are heaps of articles that could be placed in there. Cheers mrsswordfisherman
