I am after one of them lights you strap to your head for night fishing. i purchased a cheap $20 one 2 weeks ago and it has buggered up already. Can anyone suggest a brand and model that will last a while and has good light. Under $50 would be good but will consider all

Cheers

Petzl is pretty good I've had mine for years.

My brother uses Princeton Tec, they are even better !

G'day Hoges,

I used the row of LED ones that clip under the brim of a baseball style cap. Cheap as chips, and uses bugger all battery power. I have them on a number of hats, and there's always a couple of spares in the boat.

Most fishing tackle shops and electrical wholesalers sell them.

Regards,

Barry.

I have had both types and prefer the LEDS under the brim of a cap. It seems a lot easier to aim the light exactly where you want it. Much more comfortable than the 'head light'.

I have one that I have not used for fishing as yet but have used it for general work around the house. It is an energizer one that straps to your head. This was given to me some two years back.

I also have one that I used to use for fishing but I have not gone fishing at night for ages. This was one that I picked up at one of the local tackle shops.

I guess the one you might have purchased might not have been water resistant.
