What good weather we have been having

Tuesday morning in the early hours did the bolt to Browns. Beautiful morning with hardly any swell managed to get to Browns in just over an hour.

Electrics down and before we knew it we had our first hookup. By lunch time we managed to land 3 blue eye, dropped a few including jemfish.

Heard reports of YFT so headed another 9 miles east. 2 other boats were already cubing and 1 other trolling. Don’t know what the boys on the troll got but one of the fellas cubing picked up 2 35kg YF & 2 albacores. Soon we were on and landed an albacore close to 10kgs.

The other boat seemed to be live baiting and managed to pick up bigger fish. Wouldn’t be off the 50kg mark for 2 of the fish they caught.

Started heading in around 5:30 and was back at the ramp at 6:45pm

Beautiful day out there so if you can sneak a fish head out as I think a lot of people will be out this weekend whilst this good weather lasts.

A mate of mine was on one of the other boats you saw, one boat got 3 YFT the other 9YFT some upto 45Kk's he reckons, very nice fish by the way bet it tasted great

I knew one of the boats as the fella on it is my concretor, yes there was a charter out before us that did get 8 fish so he said. It was this boat that gave the news that the tuna were on.

We hit browns on monday for 2 blue eye cod, arent they fantastic eating.

yes Jorg still around, just havent been posting. It was a good day chasin these fish, a first for me.

frankp, these fish are a first for me mate. Cooked some fillets the following day and they were excellent
