slinkymalinky
As you've probably seen, I'm 'rationalizing' my tackle hoard and would like your advice on the best way to ship/freight/mail fishing rods (particularly awkward 1 piece 7-8 footers). I've got a couple of raiders from interstate who are interested in some of my rods and while I'm looking into shipping options I've not had any experience with either sending or receiving one before. Thought all you e-bay 'nuts' may have some good ideas on the best/most cost effective/safest way to do it. Thanks, Slinky

The cardboard tube is just the right weight and protection. Usually they'll give them to you for zip.Pad the rod out with bubble wrap. Then log on to www.smartsend.com.au. You can get a quote and book online and the prices are pretty good. I've had rods interstate next day. Make sure there's someone to handover and recieve or you get stung $30 non delivery fee.
