jewgaffer
Slinky I can see your getting your fishing gear just right for the Gold Coast with an easy run back to the boat ramp. There's plenty of sit back and relax up that way that's for sure When you've got a run on the jew rods just grab hold of the rods that are about to break Cheers jewgaffer
arpie
Hey Slinky - you should change your name to Incorrigible!!! Ah well, you can't take it with you when you go, so you may as well enjoy it whilst you're here!!! The other half looked at my rods today & said ...... "I think there are more rods there than before" ...... I said ...."Nah!" He accepted me at my word but I now have 2 more noice blackie rods!! One Snyder & another that isn't signed, but is very very noice! The fact that he didn't notice the extra 12ft rod in the campervan (next to his head as we drove home ....) is testament to the fact he doesn't know one rod from the other!!! Better shut up before someone dobs on me! Got it for $30 at a 2nd hand shop at Yamba! Very Noice rod tho, nice soft tip! Sails will be jealous, I know!! Cheerio & enjoy your new toys :) Roberta
King slayer
Ah yes the tackle bug bites us all from time to time. I walked into Gofish a few weeks back to buy a burley bomb and some new hooks...Man I walked out with a new jewie outfit and heaps of other stuff, came to about $600... like You guys said, shhh, you know who might be listening My beloved saw my colloection of rods as me and my mate rigged up in the lounge room last Friday night. She exclaimed, "Hey...I thought you had just one or two rods, where did the other four come from?", and these were just the boat rigs, oooo! I swore they were all garage sale specials! Tee hee.. donjuarez
I hear you all.. Reels are my obsession at the moment... they easier to go unnoticed.. problem is... every new reel brings the desire for a matching rod!

slinkymalinky
Very very jealous!!! I was drooling over one in a city store yesterday!! Cheers, Andy... Yeah, I bet it knocks over those mowies with no trouble. I wonder how well a 1lb Morwong deals with 58lb of drag pressure?? I expect to see some photos of some big gold sickles on Monday with you and Brownie grinning from ear to ear. Tight lines, Slinky
