shefford
Well i woke up at 4am and off to work! Finished at around 11 and prepared the boat, the wind picked up was cloudy as hell and looking very crappy. Managed to get out the bait reef and really couldn't bother bashing back through the choppy 2 metre swell, so decided not to go out any futher! Caught lots of red rock cods, smaller cods, trevally, the smallest squire ive ever seen in my life, and lots of moses perch. Massive hits on my 5inch swim shade, but no hook ups, i dont think i had my jighead in the right way. The one thing that was a big catch was an albatross, we chucked our livie out and within 10 seconds it was in the mouth of a hungry resident albatross of currumbin. Took us 30mins to cross the bar back in due to the 10cm deep river mouth. After that threw all the few fish we had to the pelicans because our knives were blunt as hell Well I guess it was better then being at home watching tv! Hope the swell and wind settles down a bit for next time, going to re-grease and oil all the boat/trailer throughout the week and tweek a few seats! Hope you guys had a better day then i did Matt.
