Help Please!

Hey Raiders!

I'm new to this site and pretty much new to fishing, so please bare with me

I found this lure that my dad bought for me when I was younger .. and I've never really used it. How should I use it and what type of fish should I target? Would it actually be useful or is it just a peice of junk ..?

all lures at one time or another will catch fish,its very hard to determine if a lure will be hot or not without seeing it in action or not

if casting use light leaders,attactch to the leader with a small loopnot so not to hinder its action

when using it try different retrieves as in just wind it in,and add pauses ,jerk it about, its really hard to describe but different species require different retrieves in time you will nut it out

if you keen on casting artificials i would be using plastics there easier most fish eat them and there s plenty of instructional DVDs to give you a head start

use Berkley power baits in 3inch and the gulps and I'm sure you will catch fish

either way it will help to use braid as your mainline and a leader of 5 or so feet and you will be on your way

Yeah I've used soft plastics before - I just wanted to see if this lure was of any use.

if it swims ok.

it looks like a gun, bass or bream lure

any tailor or flattie would also monster it if passed by there nose
