whats the ass end like

stand on the donk and check for flex it could have a soft ass end[manly caused by fuel leakage over the years]

i do'nt know how old your boat is but this is worth checking before you upgrade the donk

Had a Tasman for years with a 35hp Tohatsu and it got along OK - about 22 knots top speed -The tohatsus were under rated from memory ( measured to the prop ) .I would think a 40 four stroke would be struggling and a 50hp four stroke would be more suitable unless you're in a hurry - The Tasman is actually 15 foot so 90hp on a boat that old would be a bit ambitious and probably above the max hp rating.....not an expert just my thoughts
