hey guys

been visiting the site for 6months so decided to take the plunge and join this awesome online community, you guys are tops

im a 19 year old uni student with a newfound passion for fishing and was just after some choice advice about livebait. I usually fish the hawkesbury around the bridges either landbased or in a hire boat........hope to have more than 6hp to work with soon though!!!! :yahoo:

was just wondering where i should be collecting yakkas from havent reli seen much reliable activity at all, seems like the only reliable thing i can manage is plenty of catfish!!!!

Also when rigging them from land or boat should i be weighing them down to the bottom or letting them swim relatively freely, on a couple of occasions my livies hav suddenly become snagged and iv lost my setup, is this because i have weighed them down too much and so snagging becomes more commonplace or have they swum into a snag because they arent weighted to the bottom sufficently?

any advice would be much appreciated

cheers

hey mate a good place to collect yakkas would be west head (it always produces) or any wharfs and structure.

With the yakkas what are you goen for?

Jewies?

Jack

yerr jewies were my main target, we've caught a few schoolies recently on pretty average frozen baits so was lookin to get some premium bait.....mayb get a premium fish
