jewgaffer Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Can't help you there I still havent landed a Port Hacking Jew. I'm sure Byron will jump in though. dave Davemmm I'll need to jump into the Hacking alright. By the way the jew have been going lately in the Hacking, I would need to jump in with a bowler hat and cane and do a Fred Astair seventy foot underwater and even then I wouldn't even get a free loader interested. I reckon right in front of North Cronulla surf club would be a good chance Back to the Hacking, in the centre of Gunnamatta Bay with a snorkel on might have seen a soapie or two in 47 foot 6 1/2 inches of water on Mother's Day, 1968. Hope this information helps but I think it's a desperate, hopeless, and irreversible situation, but with jewfishing it's far below serious because jewfish, are also natural born suckers, pushovers, victims of their own stupidity, masochists and gluttons for punishment and whatever else rhymes with the above Cheers jewgaffer Dave the Georges in the Polycraft is the go I'll walk on, walk off and help clean all the jew blood off.

casper Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I was out walking along the beach front at cronulla yesterday arvo with the wife and bubs and there was a massive school of bait fish out in the middle of bate bay. The were so many birds having a field day smashing up the school - didn't see any fish activity on the surface just the birds constantly dive bombing over a large area. Was perfect conditions - so wanted to race home and throw the boat in!!
jewgaffer Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 ......there was a massive school of bait fish out in the middle of Bate Bay. ..... didn't see any fish activity on the surface just the birds constantly dive bombing over a large area. Friends of mine followed the bird activity at the mouth of the Hacking and into Bate Bay the other day and there turned out to be literally thousands of pilchards swarms only a little above fry size. The only thing my friends could catch under the pilchards were multiple hook ups of leather jackets and the small bite was seemingly endless until the big leather jackets arrived. They said there may have been slimy mackeral getting into the pilchards as well. It looks like there's a plague of leather jackets outside the Hacking at the moment, with some decent size ones coming after the pirhanas stop. My friends waited on and got onto quite a few big leather jackets, Leather jackets are underrated and in my opinion they are a top eating fish, so it would pay to put the wire on. Cheers jewgaffer
gianniz Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 slimys on a light tackle is awesome fun they fight pretty hard and they are awesome for bait.
