Mate sharks aren't bad eating. The blokes down south will give huge wraps on their gummy sharks and rightly so they taste great. The problem is with a lot of sharks is the wasteage. Once you skin them and cut the cartlage off there may not be a lot left. Shovelnose are a classic, after catching miles of them I decided to give one a go. Unfortunately I felt very guilty after ending up with a couple of strips of meat which didnt seem to warrant killing the poor creature. Having said that not all sharks are shovelnose (obviously) and you will get a good feed from schoolys just put the effort into skinning and cutting them up. yting Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 I just can't believe this, if it was Wanda you were fishing then that's an extremely good effort. I fish there all the time and have never caught a shark or jew for that matter. Let alone 5 in one night! I use live bait most times aswell. All I can say is congrats you certainly must know something I havn't tried. Nath This sort of session is enough to make me turn to
