yting Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Just wondering what you guys think about fishing shows on tv. I reckon adventure bound on tvs is the best I've seen. The others are mainly full of ads. But as with all of them, they rarely fish anywhere in Sydney? I mean really, I reckon even I could catch fish up the top end or any of these excotic locations they normally fish. Come on fellas how about a beach session off Sydney or Jew in the Georges. Hey maybe Jewgaffer and the boys should start up your own show. cheers Nath
shefford Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I enjoy them because i have normal tv, and it beats any other crap thats on. Luckily the gold coast is currently developing a new fishing show that incs diving, surfing, boating, filleting your fish etc. That will come out in the year. NOTHING BEATS A FISHING SHOW ABOUT YOUR BACK YARD. I just hope they don't give away too many reef spot details that not many people know

Mik Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I reckon Fishing WA is the best for all round entertainment. At least those guys make no pretence about the fact that they are a pair of wally's but they still manage to entertain. Not much in the way of ads either which is good. Good'ol Mr Butler is good too I think, he does a good job of giving a few facts & is pretty funny at times. The NZ guys that do the DVD's would have to be the best though, man that guy is nuts! Marlin off jetski's, diving in massive burley trails from Russian trawlers on the tuna, awesome stuff. My DVD rack is graoning under the weight of anything fishing but that & Al McGlashin are equal #1.
Davemmm Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I might be alone here but I find fishing shows quite boring. The cut and paste never really gets across exactly what is happening. Six or seven hours of fishing cut down to a few minutes means all we see is the host continually catching fish but not much more. The old rex hunt show wasnt too bad as it did contain a bit of "how to" but the current crop seem to be just show and tell with a nice view of somewhere I will probably never get to. Dont mind reading fish mags even though a lot of it is similar to what I have just bagged. Dave
andrias Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 anyone know where they were fishing on saturday show (14th june)?
