Well i shopped around in brisbane for an hr or so, so i wouldn't get the main part of peak hour traffic on the way home.....

What i usually do is join 2 steel traces to 1 piece of mono(mainline),

But gradually they come tangled after a trip or two.

I saw stewy's bottom bashing rig and was wondering if i can rig up a main hook and a stinger hook on the one line sort of thing?

No idea how to go about doing it, the way i do it is a bit dodgey.

G'day Iricangi,

I usually attach the stinger on a short wire trace that I then attach to the eye of the top hook. It works for single strand and multi strand. If you like I could make one up, take a pic, and post it.

Hmm that would mean the eye would have to be big enough for the wire + other wire.

What size hooks do you use?

I use 6/0 hooks, and wouldn't mind seeing a rig like you suggested photographed.

If it's too much trouble/wasting tackle don't worry.

I'll have a crack on saturday at setting one up.

Join your main wire to the top hook with a haywire twist (or crimp for multistrand)

Join a second, shorter length of wire to the eye of the top hook

use a haywire twist to attach your stinger hook to the second length of wire

I usually match my hooks to the bait but for Spotty Macks I'd use a 4/0 - 6/0 as the top hook and usually a small treble as the stinger.

Hope this helps.
