wendyb Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 and should i just chuck said berley/cat food out? or put it in a berley bag? wendyb
brickman Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 hey wendy.the idea off berly is to get the fish in feeding mode but at the same time not to feed them if you catch my drift so here's a cheep and easy method, pre chop your berly[it can be any thing]cat food is ok but it has it's drawback as mentioned, mincer is the best as it finely chopes everthing you need a sack or bag,a heshen sack will only let out very small peaces and all the oil and smelly stuff this is the go, just give it a shake every 10 mins. or so at the same time you could also throw out some choped peaces off what ever bait you are using just do'nt over do it,keep them hungery and in feeding mode hang the bag over the back off the boat or tye off if land based hope this helps p.s. there are lots off articals on berly in fishing chat gary
tan the fisherman Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 (edited) and should i just chuck said berley/cat food out? or put it in a berley bag? wendyb just punch a few holes in the can with a screw driver, tie a rope thorough it and chuck it out or over side of the boat/kayak. Has worked for me on occasions. I prefer to make up my own burley bombs from left over bait or fresh fish scraps. Edited June 20, 2008 by tan the fisherman
