sadamson Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Early start meet stewy and traveled to the Georges river to have a shot at the Blackfish. We were greeted by a very crisp fresh morning(COLD).We were joined by Outdoor Dan. It was very slow, after a couple hours with no fish and numb hands we packed up and moved to Lambert Park.Round two, still cold but we started to get bites.Soon we had a couple in the bag.Ross Hunter and Emu joined us it was a mini Fishraider social It was great to put faces to the names i read on fishing reports. The bite was slow and the river still dirty from the rain of the past couple of weeks. When we packed up we had 7 blackfish in the net and droped a couple more.Nice day had by all not many fish.Better than being at work.
Guest Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 The names speak for themselves and we also met Norm Jefferies (gun luderick angler) and Ross's mate John and Mr Deckie himself "Emu" who does the deckies duties for Broadbill Charters. Even though the morning started slowly we still had a good time and got a nice feed of fish. The Silver Fox (Mr Hunter) got a very nice blackie on some cabbage which I havent seen used in the river before. All in all a great day out on the water and thanks Stephen and the rest of the crew for a top day out Cheers Stewy
slinkymalinky Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Nice report and nice photos guys. Is Emu always camera shy? Don't think we ended up with 1 photo of him from our 3 days at Port Stephens this year? Cheers, Slinky
