Fishfinders Advice

Hi There

I was just wondering if anybody out there could provide some advice on what kind of fishfinder would be best to purchase for mainly closed water fishing round Sydney. The old finder that came with the boat is seriusly outdated and intermittent at best. Really needs an upgrade.

I have been hunting around and have about $500 to spend. The Furuno LS4100 seems the best to me so far. I would go for the Eagle 500C but they dont seem to sell them in Australia. Anyhow I was wondering what other experiences you guys have had in this range of finder. Any advice would be welcome.
