Lunchtime Carp

Got a call from my Estate Agent today... he and his boss + boss' young son were pilfering the carp from 'my' pond during lunch. As I was heading home for lunch anyway I grabbed my rod with the silly string and ducked down to join them. Sadly, having made lots of boasts about being able to catch a much bigger fish than any of the 3 or 4 they had on the bank, I only managed a little 500g fish. Still... it only took about 2 minutes to get the hook up as usual and it's pretty cool being able to go fishing in my lunch break.

It's no substitute for real fishing but can you tell that I'm actually starting to quite enjoy this now? The difference the ultra light gear makes to the fun factor is amazing.

you love fishing for those carp dont you........ my mates trying to get me to go up to one of his spots and giv it a go....... might have to rig the starlo stick and 1000 stradic with the rest of my 2LB vanish line and giv it a go!!
