Longtail Tuna

hey Guys

As you all know i am heading to Byron Bay/Brunswick river for holidays. I am really interested in the LBG type things. I want to know if the longtail tuna are there at the moment. I will seek local knowledge but i would like to hear from fellow raiders. I would also like to know what baits i can get and what rig i should use.

I would like to know where some quality jewie places e.g the breakwall or further up the river.

I will be landbased.

P.S Is there any other game fish that can be targeted on spin gear(spin gear i mean spinning reels) up there.

Its a bit late in the year, you would be unlikely but if you do it will most likely be above average size. Thats for longtails anyway.
