Mick K Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Went for a fish with a fellow Raider (Stipo) in Broken Bay and under the rail bridge for one bream. Went back to the marina infront of the Newport pub to clean the boat and head home. While we were there the Mooring barge - the one with the greeen RTA sign over the cabin, showed up and started to pick up a mooring that was right in the marina. The story goes that one of the owners, of one of the big cruisers, that live there, was parked down at palm beach yesterday having a few beverages and on returning to Newport forgot to untie the mooring and dragged it the length of the Pittwater and only untied when he was trying to back the boat into position at the marina - I saw the barge lift it up and it had a very decent lump of conrete on the end of a very decent shackle and chain. It raisies some obvious questions: * how good are the motors on that thing? * how stuffed is the bottom of the boat now? * how pissed must the skipper have been?????? If I hadn't seen it i wouldn't have believed it. Mick

He probably just adjusted the trim tabs to compensate. Was the name of the boat - My captain is a dickhead?
double pluggers Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 It would be soooo nice to afford to be so stupid.
