Hodgey Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Hi all, Well, holidays are over and Christie has returned to QLD. We had a terrific time, and managed to get her onto a few fish, show her some great scenery, and introduce her to a new friend as well. Tuesday she went out with her Grandfather and Dene, for 'one last session'. Once again they managed to produce the goods using plastics, and caught another 5 great fish (4 out of 5 over 50cm) for Pa to take home to Vic. The flatties were caught in the Lake, with the majority falling to Gulp 4" grubs in Pumkinseed. The fish were found out in the open, or in proximity to weed beds. I promised to put some of her favourite photos up for her, so here they are. A BIG thank you to everyone who commented on her first report, and to Dene for taking her out for some truly memorable sessions. arpie Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Well done Christie & Pa on some top fishing (lovely sized fish!!!) and for Dene for making it possible in his boat ...... what gorgeous shots, Hodgey!! Love the bar & the next one of the mini breakwall looks very fishy for all different types of fish!! Specially blackies along the edge, I reckon! Love the new friend, but if anything like the one I got up close to in NZ ...... VERY FISHY BREATH!! YUCK!!! Take care Roberta
Squizy Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Crikey Skip that little girl of yours is growing up, and by the looks of it, it is time that you sent par home as well. Are Tuross flathead on the endangered list yet. Well done all. Nic and I can't wait to get back down there. Squizy
Hodgey Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 You are spot on, Roberta! Yes, while we were there, we watched schools of big blackies cruise along the weedbeds. The seal was one of two that were sunning themselves. I daresay they found the blackies too! Squiz, looking forward to spending time with you, Nic and the girls very soon!
mrsswordfisherman Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Some lovely shots there Hodgey I love to see the females getting into the fish. Your Dad looks so happy and pleased with himself too Good on you Christie Cheers mrsswordfisherman
slinkymalinky Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Great photos. Glad that Christie had a good time and got some great fishing weather. It might just be my memory Hodgey but I can't seem to recall you ever posting a pic of a haul like that?
