anthony f Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 (edited) This is a shot of a jew I caught a while back. Although not the biggest I have caught it is a favourite. The reason being the gear I got it on. See I have a theory that flathead feed more at night on the full moon as to me anyway they seem to be easier to catch on lures on other moon phases other than full during the day. Well as the tide peak I decide to give the flathead theory a miss and move to a spot were I could have a throw for a jew, well wacko I was on and with 6lb fireline I knew I was in for some fun. After a fair chase around with the tide starting to run and the fish taking full advantage of this it finally come to the side of the boat. It wasn,t until I had gaffed it I let out a yell. I ended up about 400m from where it decided a prawn star looked good enought to eat. Even now I still have not put my flathead theory to the test properly as I will always look for the bronze metal Edited July 13, 2008 by TDH
