Trawlen Deep Divers

hi all, need sum info, about trawling deep divers 4 big flathead and stuff, i virtualy need to know all about it as i have no idea at all what speed? how far behind? what are the best lures? a picture of a lure you would use would b gr8. thanks all,

Hi Diver, I have never trolled for flathead but if I where all I would do is use the sounder to see how deep the sand is and then find a deep diver that swims that deep in the water. Normally when you buy a deep diver I always check how deep they swim to suit my kind of fishing. Speed varies allot but from 6 knots upwards would be the go don't worry if you go to fast the deep diver will come to the surface so that is a sign to slow it down.

I'm sure someone will kick in now and tell you what colours or brands they use, as I said never used them for flathead. One thing I will tell you though is sometimes you can buy deep divers that just don't swim well at all, so go for the good quality ones, $$$= good
