Does anyone have tips for a boat fish at The Entrance?

(nothing too far, though, we will only have a hire putt putt)

Since no one else is offering, I will put in my $0.02. :biggrin2:

I don't know the Entrance but, what I will say is that you need to find drop offs and structure. You can tell by the colour of the water what the bottom is doing and I would be fishing those drop offs with rubbers for a flattie or two! This time of year you will need to work the area well as with the cold, the fish's metabolism slows right down and they can be lazy.

Pumpkinseed Pogy on a 9 gram head is a great lure for Flatties. Plenty of erratic sharp movements in the retireve and keep the lure in contact with the bottom.

Winter Whiting can also be great sport not to mention their table qualities. Live tube worms fished around the flats on high tide should give you some action. If it is early morning, later arvo or overcast, all the better!

Good luck Wendyb. :1prop:

Hi Wendyb, I am from Kincumber , the Entrance is a place I haven't fished much, I can assist you with the Brisbane Waters end, so if you are down this way I've got a few spots...Cheers..
