outfisher
They will retail around $1100 to $1250 i have actually held one and what a awesome reel a fair bit different than the older model and know comes in a 18000 model with 25kg of drag but slightly smaller line capacity than the 20000 looks the goods though

gretsch
I wouldn't be surpirsed if they start at $1500. they are still flogging the old ones at a thou. I have the 10000XG and the 20000PG in the new model. The 20 is a BIG reel with 15/25kg of drag. The 10 is a much more comfortable reel and has 14/23kg of drag. I don't think any of us would know the difference. If line capacity is critical, then the 20 is the go. They are not as smooth as the older models in my humble opinion but, the are much stronger and have better drags. VA911
I think Ceph is close to the mark with the price. I have a new 20000 as well and it is lighter than the old 20000 but as he said doesnt feel as smooth, feels more like the saltiga. havent had a chance to get it hooked up on anything that could take drag of it yet. gretsch
Do u guys think the new stella is worth 1500 I would pay whatever it costs to have the top of the line. Remember, it is dissappointing to buy something you didn't really want in order to save a few bucks. For me, my fishing time is precious and when I am out there on the water, I want the best tackle at my disposal. It's only money! PM79
The reels are obviously top of the line but I think the price is too high when you consider that some of the reel in shimano's range that price between $290-$400 perform just as good. slinkymalinky
I'll be very interested to see what happens to the range and pricing once the Japanese fully take over from Dunphy Sport. Globalisation often leads to rationalising ranges to reduce costs. We may see more of the Japanese models from the Shimano range hitting our shores in coming years..... Cheers, Slinky
gretsch
I hope Slinky is right!! We have been paying way too much for top of the line reels in Australia.
