clutch
Well i thought it was about time I added a report from NZ, as it has been a while since my last one.. Left from Takapuna boat ramp at 6am and headed out with a mate from work for the Noisies (Islands in our gulf)... a beautiful morning, calm seas helped us get out there in 30 mins. Got into some snapper shortly after arriving as a school must have gone through. However as quick as they came they were gone and we were getting baited by nursery fish, so we made a move and then another trying various spots around the islands with some success I think our snapper tally was 14 pannies. We decided to come home a different way going around Rakino, Motutapu and Rangitoto Islands and ran into a school of Kahawai (Aus. salmon) feeding. So quickly put a lure on the Rod and we were into them. I must get some lighter gear to play these guys longer but we did have ball taking turns. We had had enough and when we left they were still jumping around us. Anyhow back to work tomorrow, but with a smile on my face
