Dark Corner At Patonga

hey guys,

just after some infomation about dark corner i havent heard anythin about it and i dont know where it is

just a few questions

what sort of fish i can catch?

where is it in patonga?

do i need a boat or can i do it land based

and what sort of terrian is it

and does anybody know how the fishing is down the creek?

becuse i miight be heading down this week some time

G'day Dat, Dark Corner is a walk around to left side of the main beach at Patonga, .Park your car down near the boat ramp, walk around the rocks on your left , keep walking passed the little beach and there you go ,you are now on your way to flathead country. The best time to go 3 hours either side of low tide , gets a bit hard at high due tend to get very wet, wear a good pair of rock hopper boots, lot of oyster covered rocks around there. I have been there about 9,000 times and I target flathead, and usually get a few.. Cheers mate and hope this helps..

I threw SP's there today for 4 hours for 1 flounder which I dropped at my feet-another guy I chatted with had caught and released a 10lb breeder earlier, and had 1 pansized keeper-I don't know if holiday pressure may have been the problem,or having the wind in our teeth.Great to be out in any case.The highlight though was the frightening spectacle of three blokes trying to load a beautiful timber speedboat(one of those classic Indiana Jones ones) onto a totally submerged trailer hitched to a Mercedes 4WD also underwater to the top of the rear axle. .I could almost hear the corrosion spreading.

is the ground sand or weed and sand??
