slinkymalinky
Congrats on the Sambo jjc. Not sure what that other fish could have been but after seeing some of the underwater footage on some of the recent Kingy DVDs, they have a distinct dark stripe visible when they attack a bait... based on the size, the description, where you were, and what the fish did when you hooked it... I reckon you may have been bricked by a hoodlum mate. Cheers, Slinky

Ray R
A fish at Avoca is always nice and to have a battle with a big thing as well is better, I agree with Moses could have been a Cobia. Earlier on that Wednesday the salmon pushed ahuge school of bait fish into the rock pool and on to the beach , that would have been a sight to see.. Cheers.. nosliw
You gotta love avoca aye.. always a mystery and usually something big in the water. We have been busted off big time several times last summer at night and just cant quite figure out what was doing the damage. Well done on the salmon! and you managed to travel light as well!
