slinkymalinky
Everyone knows by now that I'm on a non-fishing 'sabbatical' a.k.a. moving interstate... don't you dare That doesn't mean I've given up my tackle habit now. I've got this great excuse of having to get gear sorted out for all the great new estuary and bass water up in SE Qld sooooo... I bought a 2000 Daiwa Sol from Pete at Go Fish about a week ago. I had to get it because I went in there about 3 weeks ago to get one, they were out of stock of the 2000, so I had to buy a Luvias instead... darn Now I have the 2000 Sol I originally meant to get. Well... I can't go out to Jumpinpin with only one outfit rigged up ready to go now can I? Of course all the many many many other outfits were, for various reasons, unsuitable Anyway, yesterday I got 300m 2lb Platypus Stealth fluorocarbon and when I spooled up the Sol, it was still well shy of the spool lip (man, this stuff is fine). Of course, that's an intolerable situation so I needed to get a Daiwa 2004 Infeet from Pete this morning. Not to mention the micro-adjustable drag on this new toy will be good protection for the spider web. Voila.. one ultra, ultra finesse set up. Problems solved (until I come up with the next completely logical excuse for needing more gear... keep that key to the reel cabinet handy, Pete). Cheers, Slinky
GregL
But what rod did you put it on or is that this afternoon's mission? I hope it's not on a miss matched rod now! That just spoils the look on the rod racks..... G

That just spoils the look on the rod racks..... G sadly... it perfectly suits the Infeet rod I bought, again of Pete, a few months ago when I was giving the carp in the pond down the street a bashing. Can't use that excuse. Strangely enough, whenever I mention to anyone in Go Fish that I'm moving to Qld, they start looking worried Cheers, Slinky
