tide'n'knots
Hi raiders, fished my usual spot at wisemans ferry last night for two small jew 46cm,48cm, one bream 30cm, and one flattie 55cm. I threw back about 5 undersize jew all around 42-43cm and dropped one at the boat which looked about 47-48cm when I tried to lift it into the boat without a net!! I had already caught the other 2 at that stage and wasn't concerned about it as I had dinner and it was going back anyway to wait for a biggie - unfortunately that didnt happen, oh well thats fishing! The wind would have blown a dog off a chain when i first arrived at 6pm but it settled down about 8.30pm and it ended up being a nice night. all the fish were caught on peeled prawn and I had a slimey fillett out all night and changed it 3 times to keep it fresh but nothing touched it. tight lines. T'n'K.
james7
G'day T'n'K. That sounds like a good night. A bit of variety too. Can't complain about a good feed like that. Cheers Peter

zen801
Well done on the jewies. They must all be up in your jewie hole because my usual jewie holes are dead. Put out live squid up to the high last night for one eel. Gave up and concentrated on squid that were smashing my jig on the bottom. Stocked up on nice size jewie baits. Beautiful night out there until the wind came up late in the night. The yakkas were going bezerk on the surface feeding in their thousands. Didnt bother with them as sick of catching them lately. All the best. Mike
plankton
I'll be at Wisemans Ferry next weekend... my cousin's a prawner. Live prawns on slack tide work well but there are Jews as big as yakkas there, just as aggresive which is sometimes frustrating. Tide n Knots - Are you fishing up or downstream of Webbs Creek? PM me too if you like... Edited October 20, 2008 by plankton
Day's Fishin
Hi Tide Knots, jews have been a little on the small side around wisemans & laughtondale lately but they still pull hard and taste great at that size.I'd rather catch them in the45 to 55 class unless I'm fishing a tournament. Jeff hi jeff, your right so far my mates and I, that I fish with, havent caught any thing over about 65cm. October 2 years ago I caught a 10 and 12 pounder the same night and a 20 pounder the next week - 1 week before the hawkesbury classic! and nothing during the comp! but this year only small stuff. Oh well maybe my luck will change in the classic this year! tight lines. Pete(t'n'k).
