dangles
took the misses out today on the boat, about 10 mins after we launched she said she could smell a very bad smell from the front of the boat. Headed back to the ramp, loaded the boat and headed home. upon inspection at home, the foam under the front section of floor has absorbed water that has leaked in through the anchor well. Over time has become stagnant and smells terrible. Does anyone have a quick way to remove this foam????? Or do i persevere with levers and scrapers, masks and losing a few kgs from berleying over the side?
BalmainBob
Gday Dangles My advice would be to persist with the scrappers and try to remove the bulk of the foam and to clean up the left over I would go down the local hardware and get a can of ascertone. This will disolve the rest of the faom that is has bonded to tthe boat. IF YOUR BOAT IS FIBREGLASS BE SURE TO TRY IT ON A SMALL SECTION FIRST TO MAKE SURE THAT IT DOES NOT REACT WITH THE FIBREGLASS. hope this helps cheers Balmain bob
