Well got down there at 1130am today, the hole at the Caravan Park. There was only 1 other guy there ( raider member), and was pretty quiet. Then it started picking up, with a few small ones caught. It is funny there- some days the slack tide is great, then it is the run before high etc. It was cloudy(ish), a bit of wind, but ok. I caught about 15 fish, kept only 2, which were maybe over 30cm's, sent the rest back to bed- most were just legal or under.. This Old Local Guy caught a 43cm ( we measured) and definately the biggest I have seen caught in the last 6 weeks.( sorry no pic- left the mobile in car) He caught it in the not so fished right hand area, in shallow region with cabbage. Well by say 330pm, there were 13 of us down there, and the tide was doing nothing, and it just went dead. The funniest thing was that right at our feet literally, there were some big bream and Whiting, and had we have had some worms or yabbies- it would have been quite a show!. The lake is so healthy, and the fish and other marine life are looking great and healthy!.Where were you today Peter?.

Cheers,

Nanook ( Matt ) :tease:

Hey Matt, did you get my PM probably a few days ago?

It sounds like good fishing at the lake so far, and yes iv seen a few larger ones come out of the righthandish area. After all those times iv been to the lake, iv never fished slackwater, only the run in till high. Iv seen the bream and whiting too, was planning to bring in some beachworms and give them a try when the blackies are off the bite.

Anyway, i wont be there for a while, unfortunately exams are approaching! Ill be there in 2 weeks! cant wait!
